OBITUARY.

MR. THOMAS RATTRAY AYSON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Monday. The death has occurred of Mr. Thomas Rattray Ayson. a well-known settler in the Wyndham and neighbouring districts for many years. He was born in Scotland in IS4B and came to New Zealand in 185 G. His father, the late Mr. Alexander Ayson, was the first teacher brought to Otago by the Provincial Government. As a judge of horses, cattle and sheep, Mr. T. R. Ayson had few superiors. He officiated at many agricultural and pastoral shows throughout New Zealand, and was a life member of both the Wyndlmin and Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Associations. He leaves one son and three daughters. One daughter resides in Auckland. His wife, three sons and two daughters predeceased him.
