FOOTBALL ACCIDENT.

A compound fracture of his loft lop; was sustained by Matthew Cooniev, aged 10, of Tuakau, during a football"match at Tuakau 011 Saturday afternoon. He was playing i'll the Rugby match against To Jvohanga, and was leading the attack with the ball at his toe when a Te Kohanga player fell 011 the ball. He over-balanced, breaking his leg in two places below the knee. He was attended by Dr. Lumsdon, of Pukekohe, and later brought to the Auckland Hospital by a St. John Ambulance which had been sent from Auckland. His condition is not serious.
