BIGAMY ADMITTED.
SALESMAN WITH A FAMILY. FALSE DECLARATION MADE. (By Telegraph. —rross Association.) PAL3IERSTOX X., Friday. William Frank Lionel George Brown, apod 37. salesman, admitted a charge of bigamy preferred against him in the Magistrate's Court to-day. He also pleaded guilty to making a false declaration for the purpose of securing a registrar's certificate. Accused's wife, in evidence, stated that siie married Brown in September, 1920. and that there were three children. Accused deserted her in ID2O and she- secured a' guardianship and maintenance, order. She first knew of the second marriage when the police
informed her. The other woman in. the case said that she met accused in June last at New Plymouth. He said that his name was Gray, and that he had been divorced for many, years. She married him in Palrnerston North in November. A cerk of the registrar's, office stated that Brown gave his name as Gray and declared himself to be a bachelor. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
