The ink invariably inns into the <;rain of the wocxl mid spreads in all directions, blurring the writing or tlio drawings, and often spoiling it completely. To avoid this running of the ink, nil) the wood with powdered resin. You will then be able to draw or write on the wood as eleai!;/ as on good paper. (Copied.)
