OUR COMPETITION CORNER
A GEOGRAPHICAL PUZZLE.
This week we have arranged a geographical puzzle that is even easier than it sounds when first read. Definitions are printed below of certain towns or countries that are very well known under those phrases. For example, Paris is obviously the answer to the first definition, "Gay —?" Do you see the idea, boys and girl*? ' In addition to answering the list, it will be necessary for competitors to write a paragraph about one of the towns or countries in that list, just a short note saying where that place ie and what it is noted for, or how it received that particular nickname. Post your entries to Peter Pan, care "Star" Office, Shortland Street, Auckland, before next Saturday. Eight prizes of 2/6 will be awarded to the competitors who submit the beet entries. , 1.
