ONEHUNGA POULTRY CLUB
The eighteenth annual meeting of the Onehiinga Pou'try Club was held last night, Mr. E. Wrigley presiding. Slightly reduced entries at the last show were reported by the secretary, Mr. F. A. Skinner. He said the general standard of the birds was high, and the membership of the club was being maintained. North Island championships were accepted for black and buff Pekin bantams, homer pigeons (colour class), budgerigar, grey wing, and nulla light (certificates only). The balance-sheet showed a satisfactory credit after paying off a debenture of £30 and purchasing new material. The surplus of assets over liabilities amounted to £21(i. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. W. J, Jordan, M.P.; vicepatrons, Messrs. E. Morton, C. Schnackonburgv arid I. Lomas; president, Mr. E. Wrigley (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Nixon, R, J. Roberts, W. A. Hanson, W. J. Brewin, A. Y. McLean; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. A. Skinner; committee. Messrs. F. Langton, I. Ball. 11. Er We lb am, W. Bailey, T. Mason, B. Duncan. G. Peters, F. W. Edwards, C. Burton, F. A. Dewliurst, H. Simmons, C. Dewliurst, H. G. Goode, L. E. Rao, J. J. Dewliurst, and T. W. Nightingale; auditors, Messrs. E. Wrigley and T. C. Sclinackenberg. Messrs. B. Duncan and C. Warner were recommended to the North Island Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association for the judges' list. The next annual show is to be held on June 13 and 14.
