■ ■>. LIVELY BIDDING PREVAILS. TOTAL OF 15,000 SHEEP SOLD. (By Telegrnph.—Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, Saturday. Despite drought conditions bidding at the annual ewe fair yesterday was exceptionally keen, and prices were well above vendors' expectations. A large attendance of local buyers was present, and the bulk of the yarding was purchased by them. The demand for 4 and 5-year-old ewes was exceptional, top price of 20/5 being obtained by : Mr. R. Cole, Waimiha. All other lines realised good prices, and a total of 15,000 sheep changed hands at the fair.
