(Received 12.30 p.m.)

LONDON, December IS

The death occurred suddenly of KearAdmiral Kobin C. Dalglish, G. 8., formerly in command of the Australian Squadron of the Eoyal Navy.

Rear-Admiral Robin C. Dalglisli visited New Zealand with the cruisers Canberra and Australia last year. Arriving in Auckland at 7 a.m. on August 31, the Admiral left immediately for Botorua, where he remained in order to benefit his health,

which, was even then poor, for the whole week of the naval visit, - returning to Auckland only in time for the departure. He was relieved of the command of the Australian Squadron early this year by Rear-Admiral Wilbraham T. P. Ford, an ex-boxer, Rugby player and golfer. He thereupon returned to England.
