WEDDINGS.
BROWN—DE MARR.
An interesting wedding took place at the Mount Albert Presbyterian Church last evening. The bride was Miss Adele Sybil Do Marr, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. De Marr, of " St. Ives,"' Mount Albert Road, and the bridegroom Dr. Dennis Brown, of Auckland, late of Weston-super-Mare, England. The Rev. R. K. Evans performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a slim-fitting frock of pastel pink channelise satin, with high draped neckline and elbow-length puff sleeves of pink angel skin lace. The skirt was graduated at the back into a long train. Billowy pale pink tulle was arranged for the veil, and she carried a sheaf of cameo pink roses and sweet peas. As matron of honour. Mrs. V. Del La Varis, the bride's sister, wore a clinging frock of cameo pink satin with a taffeta lattice cape. Her headdress was of blue velvet forgct-mo-not flowers, and she carried a showul" bouquet of pink roses, sweet peas, and love-in-the-mist.
Dresses fashioned alike were worn by the three bridesmaids. Misses Edna De Marr, a sister of the bride, and Rubina and Annie Gaudin, cousins. Their frocks of forget-me-not blue silk crepe with circular collars and puff sleeves of pink frilled tulle, were accompanied by pink frilled tulle head bands, trimmed with small posies of pink and blue rosebuds, and they carried, blue delphiniums and pink rose bouquets. Mr. F. Sa'iar attended as best man and .Messrs. V. Del La Varis, G. Bell, and Dr. Robinson as groomsmen. Ushers at the church were Messrs. K. Bullen and Gray.
Following the ceremony % reception was held at the Symondsville Studio, which was specially decorated in pink roses and blue delphiniums. Mrs. De Marr received her guests in a graceful gown of black satin moire trimmed with gold lame, and fringed cape of white ermine, and picture hat of black and gold velvet. A gold bouquet completed the toilette. Mrs. J. Sheehan, of Sydney, grandmother of the bride, wore a frock of black Spanish lace, with an ermine necklet, and carried a bouquet of deep red roses. Mrs. H. Gaudin, aunt of the bride, wore a black duchess satin frock with black Bangkok hat trimmed with a bird of paradise plume. She carried a bouquet of cream abutillons and roses.

MEREDITH—GOOSMAN. St. Aidan's Church was the scene of a charming wedding last evening, the bride being Miss (iwenyth Mabel Ooosman, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. <!. Coosman. and the bridegroom .Mr. Guy Sissons Meredith, only son of Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Meredith, '.Mission Bay. The Rev. H. L. Connolly officiated. Entering the church with* her father, the bride was an attractive figure, the slim princess lines of her tulip white satin gown, with deep V-shaped bodice at the back being inset with tulle. The gown had long tight-fitting sleeves. From the slight fullness set at the back of the skirt a long train extended, and the flowing Brussels net veil came from a Grecian headband which had three roulettes of satin. White roses formed the sheaf carried by the bride. Miss June Meredith and Miss Kathleen Wells were in attendance as bridesmaids. Their frocks were of pale apple green spider-web lace. Cut on slender lines, the skirts had narrow knife pleatings of taffeta, and were arranged to fall into small' trains. The bodices had high cowl neck lines, and the short sleeves were trimmed with the same taffeta pleatings as the skirts. Picture hats j of green lace were trimmed with a taffeta butterfly bow under the brim, I and they carried sheafs of cream and deep ye'Yw roses. The best man was Mr. Laurie Schnauer, and the groomsman Mr. Guy Herdman. Ushers at the church were Messrs. J. Russell and D. Grant. The bride's parents received the guests after the ceremony at a reception and dance held in the reception hall of Milne and Choyce. All shades of fragrant sweet peas were used for decorative purpose. Mrs. Goosman wore a smart gown of black Chautilly lace, with small lace cape. Her black tulle hat was completed with ruchings of taffeta, and a shoulder corsage of pink roses matched the rose bouquet she carried. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Meredith, wore a black, blue, and pale primrose-patterned georgette with black tagel hat relieved with pastel trim- j mings. Mrs. R. E. Williams (bride's grandmother) wore black satin, with black hat.
