DRAGGED BY HORSE.
WAIHEKE RIDER INJURED. Dragged by a horse from which he had. been thrown, and then found unconscious, Mr. Percy Hallinan, of Awaroa Bay, Wailieke, was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon with concussion, injuries to the back, and abrasions. He was met at the wharf by the St. John Ambulance. His condition to-day is reported to be not serious. The first that Mr. W. J. Gordon, his employer, knew of a mishap was the return of the horse that Mr. Hallinan had been riding. The animal returned to the home paddocks still saddled, with the bridle hanging loose. A search was organised, and the injured man was found after about an hour, lying unconscious. He was taken back to the homestead to await a launch.
