SHIP'S STORES EMBEZZLED.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GEEYMOUTH, Friday. A steward on the. steamer Foolta, Harry Doherty, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within 12 months, on a charge of embezzling ship's stores, a olb box of tea, the property of the Union Company.
Evidence was given tliat early in the morning a police constable stopped a man with the tea, which he said was given him by accused. Doberty pleaded guilty.
