MEAT EXPORTS.
The following table taken from returns compiled by the Meat Producers' Board shows the quantity of meat shipped from New Zealand to the United Kingdom during the period October 1 to July 15 in recent years:— / OCT. 1 TO JULY 15. 1931-32. 1032-33. 1933-34. Iramli carcases 7,428,000 7,615,000 7,300,000 Mutton „ 2,270,000 l,. r >:j4,ooo 1,230,000 Pork „ 107,720 189,000 334,000 Frozen beef quarters. 137,049 2G3.000 355.000 Chilled beef quarters . — 1,000 18,000 Bo no 1 ess beet (bags) 164,277 180,000 214,000 From the foregoing it will be seen that there has been a fairly satisfactory decrease in the quantities of lamb and mutton shipped during the season that is now almost closed. On the other hand the trade in beef and pork has extended considerably. i
