NEWSPRINT PRODUCTION.

Production of newsprint in British Columbia (Canada) reached the highest level in the history of the industry in the province during 1033. The same is true in production of wood fibre, while sulphate pulp figures for the past year were only excelled by total production in 1920 and 1925, and sulphite in 1930 and 1931. Production o£ paper other than newsprint was slightly below the previous year, and with that exception was exceeded only in the 1930 total.
