ODE TO A HORSE.

(Sent in by Albert William Glen," 539, Dominion Road, Balmoral; age 9.) Oh. horse, you are a wondrous thing, No horns to honk, no hells to ring; Xo license buying every year, With plates to stick on front and rear. No sparks to miss, no gears to slip, You start yourself, no clutch to slip. Xo petrol bills mounting every day, To steal the joys of life away. Your- inner tubes- are all 0.K., I s And, thank goodness, they always stay that way. Vour Spark plugs never miss and fuss, Your motor never makes us cuss. Your frame is good for many a mile, Your body never changes style, Your wants are few, and easy met, You have something on the auto yet.
