Gun Battle During Rescue from Hospital. CONFEDERATE KILLED. (Received 9.30 a.m.) HAVANA, June 19. Five men armed with pistols entered the University Hospital and rescued Evilio Torres, one of the gunmen who was in the car that was burned in Sunday's melee. They escaped with Torres in a motor car after a revolver fight with the police. The latter killed a member of the rescue party.
