UPPER HOUSE LIST. WORKING STRENGTH OF 30. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The announcement this week by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, of the new appointments to the Legislative Council will include the names of some of the former members of the council whose terms have expired. However, the majority of the appointees •will bring fresh interests into the Upper House, the total numbers of which will then reach 30, which is considered to represent an adequate working strength.
