FIXTURES. Saturday, June 23. —16-Milc Senior Handicap, 61-Mile Junior Handicap. Saturday, June 30. —Open Race, 221-Mile Senior, Gi-Milc Junior. The Lynndale Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club conducted two races on their circuit at New Lynn last Saturday afternoon, under ideal conditions. Both events were time trials, with sealed handicaps in conjunction. The junior race was 6Vs. miles, starting at half-minute intervals, and the riders left in the following order: C. Crisp, H. Mason, W. Williams, R. Hansen, A. Davis, P. Lupton, G. Holton, C. Breeze, H. Robertson, O. Webb. H. Mason (2.55), the ultimate winner, is improving with each ride. His time, 21.48, was fourth fastest, which was very creditable indeed.. R. Hansen (2.0) was once more in the placings. He was third fastest in 21.47. This rider has not yet been out of -a place. F. Lupton (4.30) rode one of his best races when he gained third place, and on his present showing will be in the picture again before long. Geo. Holton (1.50), last week's winner, showed up well to gain fourth place. H. J. Robertson (scr.) found his lone riding ability very suitable for the unpaeecl conditions, for he gained fastest time easily in 20.48. With proper coaching this young rider should go a long way. The senior event provided some fine racing, and the winner, Pat Smith (3.30) notched his second win this season. This rider is showing excellent form at the present, and is one of the club's most improved riders. Geo. Cummings (6.0) is certainly a trier. His second place was well deserved. On his form a higher place should not be out of his reach. E. L. G. Hughes (scr.) rode one of his best races this season, when he gained fastest time and third place in 40.9, which is a course record. Colin Gooder (scr.) also rode a good race to gain' second fastest time. He also lowered the lap record to 9.46.
