THE MEETING POSTPONED. TO OPEN ON SATURDAY. SECOND DAY ON WEDNESDAY The winter meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club was to have commenced at Alexandra Park to-day, but owing to the weather and the heavy state of the track caused by the downpour yesterday, the committee decided early this morning to postpone the opening day till next Saturday, and to conclude their meeting on the following Wednesday. Handicaps for the second day will appear on Monday morning, and acceptances will close at noon on the same day.
