APOSTOLIC CHURCH.

PASTOR FROM AUSTRALIA. Pastor William Cathcart, of the Apostolic Church, arrived by the Mariposa this morning from Melbourne, to begin a series of religious meetings throughout New Zealand. The Church was founded in Wales in 1904 during the revival of the teachings of Wesley, and Mr. Cathcart is the leader of the work in Australia. There are centres in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney, and the headquarters are at Melbourne. Mr. Cathcart said to-day that a recent campaign resulted in many souls being saved and in many sick people being healed. There had been some remarkable cures in Melbourne. The Church included people of all religions, and also many who had never before prayed. Healing was carried out by the laying on of hands.

Meetings will be held at the Unity Hall, commencing on Sunday.
