KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR

YOUNG MAN AT HUNTLY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HUNTLY, this day. About 10.30 last evening Hugh Speass, aged about 10, of Huntly South, was knocked down by a ear driven by Mr.. S. M. Sharpe, of Auckland. He was crossing the road in front of the Catholic presbytery when he was struck by the car, which was travelling to Hamilton. Fog and drizzling rain made visibility bad. The driver immediately applied his brakes. With minor head injuries and suffering from shock the injured youth was conveyed to his home, after receiving attention by Dr. A. A. Macfarlane.
