WEE PAT WINS THE BIG HURDLES.
TUDOR TOO GOOD FOR PATUTAHI.
MONANUI AND KING MUSK SHARE JERVOIS.
The Great Northern meeting of the Auckland Racing Club opened at hllerslie this morning in threatening weather, despite which there was a splendid attendance. The course was holding after recent rain.
In the opening event Monanui beat the favourite, 'with the long-priced Supreme Ruler third.
In a small Held for the Green Lane Steeples, Tudor, as anticipated by the public, defeated Patutahi and Carlaris.
King Musk accounted for Supreme Court and Hunting Jay in the second division of the Jervois.
In a seven-horse field for the Penrose Hurdles, Stanchion proved superior to Jayson and Delrain.
Wee Pat was victorious in the Great Northern Hurdles, being followed home by Make Up and Emancipation.
