Fire at the famous Pelorus Bridge scenic reserve, midway between Blenheim and Nelson, yesterday afternoon destroyed about four acres of bush._ Passers-by, men from- Bryant's timber mill in Tinline Valley, and children from the adjacent school worked for hours to save the reserve, but it was midnight before the advance of the flames was stayed. At one time the school and the public hall were threatened.
