33 People Killed in Another Russian Smash. DRIVERS SENTENCED TO DEATH (United r.A—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11 a.m.) MOSCOW, Mareli 21. A passenger train collided, with, a goods train, which was shunting at Tavatui, and 33 people were killed and 68 injured. Tho driver and fireman of the suburban train involved in a collision on March 4 have been sentenced to be shot. Other railway officials have been sentenced to various terms of imprisonment.

A cablegram from Moscow on March 6 stated: —As a result of the public outcry at the alarming frequency of railway accidents, four Courts shortly will try batches of officials who are alleged to have been responsible for recent ones. The latest accident happened on Sunday, when there was a collision between suburban trains, in which 19 people were killed and 52 injured.
