LIVESTOCK MARKET

WESTFIELD SALE. LABGE ENTRY BEEF CATTLE. EASING IN PRICES. The chief feature of the stock sales at Westfield yesterday was the large entry of beef cattle which totalled 900 head, against 800 head the previous week. Pigs also came forward in very large numbers. The quantity of cattle available was above requirements, and lower prices ruled. An average yarding of calves sold at about late rates. Sheep and lambs met a ready sale, with little alteration in values. In the pig classes porkers were a little easier, but on the whole satisfactory prices were realised. The range of prices, together with those ruling the previous week, was as follow: — This Week. I.ast Week.
