WOMEN'S INSTITUTES.

TE AWAMUTU. The Te Awamytu branch of the Women's Institute held its first meeting at the end of last week. Mrs. C. G. Downes presided. Miss Hansard gave a most interesting address on the care of the teeth, emphasising the necessity of caring for children's teeth right from the early stages. A dahlia display was arranged by Mrs. J. O'Sullivan, who had a number of magnificent blooms on a table for members to inspect. Two interesting competitions caused much amusement, and were won by Mrs. Kay and Mrs. Ward/
