AMBULANCE HUT.
SOCIAL EVENING. In aid of funds for a St. John Ambulance hut at Islington Bay, Rangitoto, a successful social gathering was held at the O'Neill Street Hall, Ponsonby, last evening. Tables for cards wore arranged for non-dancers, aiul excellent dance numbers were contributed by Miss Alice Clark's orchestra. Among those present were: Mrs. G. Pelham, who wore a gown of brown beaded georgette; Mrs. Munro, black lace; Mrs. B. Smyth, black liinon; Mrs. E. Sharp, cameo pink georgette; Mrs. 11. Taylor, black georgette; Mrs. Doekety, beige satin; Mrs. J. Horner, navy blue lnarocain; Mrs. W. Dryland, floral georgette; Mrs. R. Culpan, cream faille; Mrs. F. Pearson, rose du Barri crepe suede; Mrs. S. Burke, pastel pink net and satin; Mrs. E. O. Williams (Kapaki), black lace; Mrs. J. Clark, Lido blue georgette; Mrs. F. Coney, blue floral crepe; Mrs. W. J. Colwell, black lace; Miss Jackson, black crepe suede; Miss P. Seagar, fuchsia and blue flowered chiffon; Miss Lord, black lace; Miss Joan Smyth, ceil blue net; Miss Pat Clark, opal blue crepe de chine.
