WORLD CONFERENCE.

WELLINGTON, Wednesday,

The World Dairy Conference will be inaugurated at tho Capitol, Rome, in the presence of the King and Queen o. Italy,, on April 30, and on May 4 the delegates will go to Milan, where the meetings will be resumed. The congress will be divided into sections, which will discuss the following questions: —Cattle breeding and milk production; hygiene, chemistry and bacteriology of milk and dairy products, and niiik and dairy produce as human food; industrial utilisation and commerce of milk and dairy products; teaching, experimentation and propaganda concerning milk and dairy products; legislation and control of milk and dairy products; veterinary problems concerning milk and tropical dairies. Italian. French. English and German are languages allowed during the debates of the congress. New Zealand will not be officially represented at the coming conference, as the view is taken by the authorities that the sending of a delegate on this occasion is not justified.
