NO INCREASE.
HIGH COMMISSIONER'S SALARY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Suggestions have been made from time to time that the salary paid to the High Commissioner is inadequate, and in an interview on relinquishing office in London Sir Thomas Wilford joined in the protest. This interview was brought before the notice of the Prime Minister to-day, and he was asked if the Government was considering making any increase in the salary. Mr, Forbes 1 only comment was: "The Government is not considering increasing the I' Commissioner's salary."
