Work now resumed. MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. The report of the manager of Golconda Mines, Limited, states that during last week the following work was carried out:— Tunnel Level. —Continued driving on the new reef on the west right hand side of the crosscut and holed through to the old drive on the main reef. Saw a few nice dabs of gold. It appears as If the old company drove oil the footwall of the main reef, and there is another branch in the hanging wall. Not enough work has yet been done to prove if this is correct. Now timbering the drive on the new reef. Intermediate Level. —Have resumed driving west on the hanging wall reef and the foolwnll portion shows good dabs of gold. This is south of the shaft. No quartz has been broken from the stopes on the branch reef south as we have struck the bottom of the winze sunk from the tunnel level and have to secure the same. This work is nearly completed and we will' be stoplng from the winze next week, with the prospects of getting picked stone, as very good ore was taken from this winze when it was being sunk. 70ft Level.—Have started a leading stope on the main reef east of the shaft between two breaks, and as we get up should cut the hangingwall droppers, where values were met with. Have started a crosscut west of the south branch reef and are In good country. This Is close to where we | had good gold in the drive on the branch I reef.
