BUSINESS IS GOOD. BREWERY SHARES IN DEMAND. Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange is being maintained at a satisfactory level, and at this morning s call a good list of sales was put through. There was a good demand in the banking section, with 17/0 available for C oinmercials and £2 8/9 for New Zealands. Insurances were steady, and Nationals improved 2d, "with a sale at 18/8. In the breweries section New Zealands were asked for at £1 13/0 and Tu:s at £2. Australian general securities attracted more attention, Anthony Horderns being added to the lines usually quoted. Buyers offered 15/3 for the ordinary shares. Government stocks were in demand at late rates, but local body debentures attracted little attention. Brokers' Busy Morning. Brokers had a busy morning, and a wide range of securities was covered in the noon sales list. Reviving interest in the timber business was evidenced by the first sale of ParkerLamb shares for a long time.
