New Zealand porker pigs: Shade easier, owing to heavier supplies of Home killed. Baconers: Steadier, with more inquiry from curcrs.

LONDON WOOL SALES. THE BANK'S FORECAST. The Bank of Now Zealand has received the following advice from its London office, under 4 fl t e °t sth inst.:— "Prospects for all kinds of wool next series are favourable. It is anticipated that Merino and fine crossbred will be l%d to 2d, medium crossbred Id to VAd. coarse crossbred %d to Id dearer than last sales. A brisk demand is expected."

THE PRICE OF SILVER

(Received 11.30 a.m.i LONDON, December 6. Silver is quoted at 19% d por ounce for spot delivery and 19 3-lGd for forward.

HEMP AND TOW.

A total of 2426 bales of hemp wae graded for export at New Zealand ports during December, a decrease of 773 bales on the quantity graded in December, 1932, but an increase of 763 bales on the gradings in November, 1933. A decrease of 202 bales is shown in the figures of tow gradinps, which totalled 729 bales, a« against 931 hales in December, 1932. The total represents an increase nf 257 balee over the figure for November last.
