STABLE AND TRACK NOTES.

SUCCESS WAS OVERDUE. The win scored by Silver Sight at Wyndhain last week was a fitting reward after an exasperating run of bad luck. He is a four-year-old, by Silverado from On Sight, by Winkie from Aye Ready, by All Red from, Hermosa, a very good mare in her day. Silver Sight had six races as a two-year-old, winding up with a third.. Last season he started 29 times, for eight seconds and seven thirds, while he was recently third at the Dunedin meeting. NOT RACING AT THAMES. Although Prince Colossus and Leo Colossus both figure in the acceptances for the Thames meeting, they will not be raced at that fixture. Prince Colossus won a couple of races on the Taranaki circuit during the holidays, and if he retains his latest form more successes are likely to come his way during the autumn meeting. This pair, together with the other members of H. Dulieu's team, will be trained at New Plymouth in future. RELATED TO ARGENTIC. One of the most attractive performances at the Stratford meeting was the first-up win of Radiant Star (says the "Taranaki Herald"). The Hunting Song two-year-old was confidently backed on the strength of good track work, and he won like a colt who will go on to success in stronger company. Radiant Star; who is trained by J. Fryer, at Hawera, is a half-brother to Argentic. SISTER TO CATERPILLAR. Cheap Money has taken some time to strike form, but now looks like being very useful (says a Southern writer). She always had speed, but did not carry on ■ far enough. With a bit of experience, however, she has improved, as shown by two wins at Wyndham and another at Invercargill last week. She is a three-year-old eister to Caterpillar, by Paper Money from Tortrix, by Martian from Tortulla, a New Zealand Cup winner. In spite of the stamina in her dam's pedigree, speed may be her chief asset, but she ehould win plenty of eprint races.
