'PLANE WRECKED.
BASED ON BIRD STUDIES. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, December 1. An aeroplane fitted with wings based .on studies of birds in flight was wrecked in Gloucestershire. Captain Haint, a well-known test pilot, narrowly escaped when the machine became uncontrollable through a wing flutter. The inventor, Signor Antoni, said the 'plane had done 60 hours without trouble and he was unable to understand the 1 accident. He had intended to demonstrate the quality of the machine before Air Ministry experts.
