ELECTION RESULTS. "Victory Over Disruptive Elements." HEAVY UNIONIST MAJORITY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 1 p.m.) , • RUGBY, December 1. "With the exception of the four Belfast University seats, the results of the general election for Northern Ireland were announced as follows: — Unionists 33 Nationalists 9 Independents 2 Socialists 2 Fianna Fail . 1 Republican 1 Viscount Craigavon, Premier, in a message to Unionists, says: "Ulster is again assured of five years resolute, settled Government, accompanied, I sincerely trust, by a period of peace, progress and prosperity. I will carry on, encouraged and strengthened by this signal victory over the disruptive ele ments raised against our Imperial stronghold." The successful Fianna Fail candidate was Mr. de Valera, who was elected in South. Down.

NOT TO SIT IN" ULSTER HOUSE. (Received 12.30 p.m.) DUBLIN, December 1. The South Down poll in the Ulster as follows:— De Valera 7404 McGrath (Repub.) 622 Mr. McGrath loses his deposit. Neither Mr. do Valera, nor the Republican, Mr. McLogan, intend taking their seats in the Northern Parliament.
