In a recent speech the Rev. J. D. Day, headmaster of Stamford School remarked that in recent years circumstances had forced him to the conclusion that it was impossible to decide a boy's future career until he reached the age of 17. Until then he held whims and caprices, but for some peculiar psychological or physiological reason until a month or two before or after that age he had no established idea what he wished to 'become.
