AUCKLANDERS ABROAD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, November 1. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Watts are now staying at Torpoint, Cornwall, where they are on holiday. Mrs. Watts, nee Miss Marshall, of Auckland, is on her first visit to the Old Country, and is naturally enjoying it very much. Mr. Watts, who served in the New Zealand Division of the R.IT., is now on leave at the end of the term for which he was "lent" to the Ne,w Zealand Division. Married in Auckland in June, they sailed for England by the Rangitane on August 31, having a pleasant voyage and the smallest passenger list on record. Before the expiry of Mr. Watts' leave they will do some sight-seeing in London, visit "Paris and spend some more time in the West of England.
Mrs. David Low, wife of the worldfamous cartoonist, gave a most enjoyable party last week at her home in Golders Green. Mrs. Low, wearing a nigger ensemble in velvet and crepe de chine, was assisted by her two young daughters in entertaining her guests. There were a number of New Zealanders present: Mrs. David Low, mother, and Miss Flanagan, aunt of the artist, and Mrs. Pedro Vargas, sister; Mrs. Percy Crisp and Miss Anne Clarkson, her daughter, Mrs. Hugh Bailey, Mies Nelle Scanlan, Miss Stella Murray and Miss Hicks.
Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Wrightson, whose marriage took place in September, are back in London from a prolonged honeymoon, and are settled in their new home at <f>4, Brunswick Gardens, Bayswater. Mrs. Wrightson was Miss Jean Gordon, daughter of Mrs. Gordon and the late Mr. A n gus Gordon, of Remuera. Her uncle, Captain Whitney, gave her away, and the wedding was held in St. Mary Abbot's Kensington, at which the Bishop of Tinevelly, India, officiated. Two sisters of the bridegroom acted as bridesmaids," and Noel Western as trainbearer. After the reception at Emperors' Gate the bridal pair went to Wales, where they have been touring.
