Lambs.—Our yarding of lambs comprised 246, as against 153 last week. The quality was very good and competition very keen throughout. Extra heavy prime lambs, £1 3/0 to £1 5/; heavy prime lambs, £1 2/ to £ 1 3/3; medium prime lambs, £1 to £1 1/6; light prime lambs, 18/6 to 19/9._ Calves. —We had an average yarding of calves. All prime runners aud vealers realised fully late rates in the early stages of the sale, but the late sale and unfinished sorts suffered a drop. Runners made from £2 15/ to £4 5/; heavy vealers, £3 3/ to £3 11/; medium, £2 11/ to £2 18/; light, £2 2/ to £2 6/; small. £14/ to £1 10/; unfinished and bucket-fed, 9/ to 14/; bobby calves, 3/ to 6/ (a total of 199 calves was soldi. Pigs.—There was again a full offering of pigs. Competition was again very keen for porkers and prices for these improved as the sale progressed. In odd instances values for prime baconers held firm, but generally values eased slightly. Choppers made £1 9/ to £2 10/; heavy prime baconers, £2 19/ to £3 3/ (two extra special pigs realised £3 6/); medium baconers, £2 5/ to £2 10/: light, £1 18/ to £2 3/; heavy porkers. £1 16/ to £1 18/; medium, £1 13/ to £1 16/; light, £1 9/ to £1 12/; small and unfinished, £ 1 6/ to £1 8/; extra large stores, up to £1 14/; smaller, £14/ to £1 7/; slips, £1 to £1 2/: good weancrs, 16/ to 18/; smaller, 12/ to 14/; weedy. 8/ to 10/; sows, due to farrow. £2 to £2 15/ (a total of 49S pigs was sold).

DALGETY AND COMPANY. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., reports:— Beef.—We yarded 145 head of beef, comprising 45 steers and 100 cows and heifers, against. 153 head last week. The qualitywas, in most cases, good, but the offering included a fair number of unfinished sorts. A steady demand resulted in a firm sale for all classes. Extra choice ox sold to 10/ per 1001b; choice and prime ox, 16/ to 18/; just killable, 13/ to 15/; prime young cow ami heifer beef, 15/ to 18/; just killsble. 11/ to 1-1/. Heavy prime steers. £7 to £7 10/ for steers from Mr. Geo. Ilastie, Papatoetoe; lighter prime steers. £6 10/ to £0 17/(3; light prime steers, £5 17/6 to £6 7/6; small and unfinished steers, £3 15/ to £5 10/; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £5 to £6 for heifer bold on account of Mr. J. F. Geard, Colville; heavy prime cows and heifers. £4 to £4 17/6; lighter prime cows and heifers, £3 to £3 17/6; other killable cows, £1 10/ to £2 15/. Sheep.—Sheep again came forward in full numbers, for which the demand was keen and values ruled equal to last week's rates. Prime heavv hoggets, 19/3 to 21/3; prime medium hoggets, 18/ to 19/; extra heavy prime wethers, shorn, 25/6 to 20/3; heavy prime wethers, shorn. 24/6 to 25/3: medium wethers, woolly, 22/3 to 23/3; shorn. 23/3 to 24/3; light and unfinished wethers, woolly, 21/ to 22/; shorn, 19/0 to 23/: heavy prime ewes, woolly, 20/ to 21/; shorn. 15/ to 16/; lighter ewes, woolly, IS/ to 19/6; shorn, 12/6 to 14/9. Lambs.—An average yarding of lambs sold under strong competition at improved rates. Heavy prime lamb, 24/ to 24/9; medium prime lamb, 22/3 to 23/9. Calves—Calves were yarded in lull numbers and sold steadily with values very firm on last week's quotations, with exception of rougher quality runners, values for which were easier. Runners, £2 to £3 18/: heavv venlers, £3 5/ to £3 12/; medium venlers, £2 16/ to £3 2/; light vealers, £2 to £2 11/: small vealers. £1 5/ to £1 16/; small and fresh dropped, 4/ to £1 2/: rough calves, 12/ to 19/. Pigs.—-An average yarding of pigs came forward and sold at values on about a par with late rates. THE ADDINGTON MARKET. FAT SHEEP SELL WELL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUROH, Wednesday. Prices for fat sheep, cattle, and etore sheep rose slightly at the Addmgtou market to-day. Store Sheep—The yarding was very small and of poor quality, except tor a ievv Cb.atb.am Island wethers and odd pens ot hoggets All ewes with lambs were old and in low condition. Good ewe hoggets made up to 19/9; medium wether hoggets, to 13'9- medium ewes and lambs (a.l counted), to 11/: ordinary, 8/6 to 10/; lowconditioned, to 8/; good shorn wethers, to 14/9; medium, 12/ to 13/6; medium woolly, " Fat Lambs—The yarding was 600 head. The market opened firm on last weeks rates and held to the last race, when prices fell The average price was 8d to B%d per lb. Extra prime heavy lambs made 24/ to 26/4; prime, 21/ to 23/6; medium 'weight, 18/ to 20/6; light, 15/ to *Fat. Sheep.—The entry was 3400. compared with 7200 last week. Consignments came forward from the North Island, the Chatbame, and Southland. The sale was erratic, but generally there was an increase in price of 1/ a head on last week's rates. More than half the yarding was shorn. Fat Cattle.—The yarding totalled just over 300 head, and the quality was fairly good. The sale was erratic, but there,was a rise of 10' a head over all. Fat Pias. —There was a medium entry, and prices were a shade easier.
