Miss Kay Wins.

N.Z. GOLF FINAL. Miss Gaisford Beaten at Thirtythird Green. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. The weather was fine, with strong northwesterly wind, for the final of the New Zealand ladies' golf championship. The contestants were Miss Oliver Kay (Dunedin) and Miss Bessie Gaisford (Marton). The game was played over 36 holes, and the first round this morning resulted in Miss Kay leading, 4 up. Both played good golf, especially Miss Kay, who went round in two oyer par for nine holes' play, a couple being conceded. Her long game was excellent, except for a few shots. Her putting was very steady. Miss Gaisford was inclined to hook her shots, which got her into trouble. Several of her long putts sat on the lip of the hole. The game eventually ended at the thirtythird green, Miss Kay winning, 4 and 3.

TOURNEY AT TITIRANGI,

DRAW FOR SATURDAY. The annual Labour Day tournament will be held this year at the Titirangi links. The first day'i play over two rounds decides possession of the open amateur medal championship and tie competitors who qualify for the Titirangi Cup. The 10 players with the best net aggregate over, the 30 holes will contest the cup, handicap match play over 18 holes.
