HILLSIDE CLUB. The official opening of the Hillside Tennis Club, Elleralie, took place on SaturUuy, the president, Mrs. G. Ford, performing the ceremony. There was u large gathering of members and visitors. The first ball was served by Mr. Dave Dickson. Afternoon tea was provided aud friendly matches played. WAIKATO EAST ASSOCIATION. The oMcltil draw for the A and B grades of the Waikato East Tennis Association competitions is as follows : — A Grade.— Northern section : Richmond Downs v. Waharoa, at Waharoa ; KiwitahiKereone v. Walton, at Walton. Central section : Matamata No. 1 v. Hinuera No. 1, at Matamata; Matamata No. 3 v. Illuuera No. 8, at Hinuera ; Matamata No. 2, a bye. Southern section : I'utaruru v. Te Whetu, at Te Whetu ; Tirau v. Okorolre, at Okorolre. The above matches will bo played on October 2S. li Grade. —Northern section : KlwltahlKereone v. Richmond Downs, at Klwitahl ; Walton No. 1 v. Walton No. ->, at Walton; Waharoa, a bye. Southern section : Tirau v. Hinuera, at Hinuera ; Kanglpal v. Te Whetu, at Okorolre Railway; Okoroire Hall, a bye. The above matches will be jilayed on October 21.
