TWO DIVORCES.
UNDEFENDED PETITIONS.
Two divorces wore granted by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court this morning.
Desertion was the ground on which John Poland, linesman (Mr. Jordan) petitioned against Vivian Latitia Irene Poland. Petitioner said he was married on February 14, 1917. There was one child. In Easter of 1920 there was a disagreement over his wife's father who had been living with them. Her father had failed to contribute anything to the upkeep of the home. Petitioner had asked him to leave, and his wife said that if her father went she would go also. The wife eventually left.
A decree nisi was granted. On the grounds of a separation for three years, Violet Isabel Wiseman (Mr. Rudd) asked to be divorced from Neville James- Alexander Wiseman (Mr. Bryce Hart). It was explained that petitioner was in England and her evidence had been given on affidavit. A decree nisi was granted.
