BUTTER MARKET STEADY. LATEST FROM TOOLEY STREET. Advices received from London to-day indicate that the butter market is holding firmly at the recent advances. Business in cheese, however, is rather quiet. The weekly Press Association cable from London reads as follows:— Butter is firm and active. Banish, 104/ nor cwt; choicest salted and unsalted New "Zealand, 01/ to 92/; Australian, 00/ to 92/. Cheese is quiet. New Zealand, white, 49/ to 50/ per cwt; coloured, 52/; Australian, white, 48/ to 49/"; coloured,- 49/ to 50/. MERCHANTS' CABLES. Cables* received this morning •by local merchants from their London, principals arc as follow: — Messrs. Dalgcty and Company.. Limited (London principals, Messrs. Samuel Pago and Son):—-Butter: The market is firm. New Zealand, linest salted. 90/ to 92/ per cwt; Danish, 102/ to 100/; Australian, linest unsalted, 91/ to 93/; finest salted, 90/ to 92/.;.g.a.q.i 86/ to 88/. Cheese: The market is steady at present prices. New Zealand, white. 49/ to 50/ per cwt; coloured, 52/ to 53/; Canadian, white, 50/ to 51/; coloured, 52/, to 53/. Messrs. A..S. PatersOn and Company (principals, Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale ami Company. London):—Butter: Market quiet, buyers inactive, but undertone firm. Danish. 86/ f.o.b. (107/ landed); New Zealand and Australian. 90/ to 92/. Cheese: Market dull, poor demand. White, 49/ to 49/6 per cwt; coloured, 52/ to 52/0. Mr. L. McCartney (Messrs. Henry A.
