LAWN TENNIS.
WEST END CLUB. The second annual mooting of the West End Tennis Club, presided over by Mr. S. A. Cleal, president, was held at the club's pavilion in West End Koad on Wednesday. There were over 00 members present. The report disclosed that a pavilion had been erected and two further courts had been laid down during the year. The balancesheet showed a jjood credit balance, notwithstanding an expenditure of approximately £170, raised locally, in permanent improvements to the pavilion and grounds. The winners of the club competitions were:—Ladles' sinprles. Miss S. I'hillipps: men's singles, Mr. F. Itoblnson; ladies' doubles, Misses I. Meiklejohn and S. Pkilllpps; men's doubles, Messrs. F. Bobinson and S. A. Cleal; ladies' handicap singles, Miss P. Williams; men's handicap singles, Mr. F. Bobinson; ladies handicap doubles, Miss I. Meiklejohn and Mrs. G. Williams; men's handicap doubles, Messrs. F. Bobinson and S. A. Cleal; combined handicap doubles, Miss M. Green and Mr. A. S. Hill. The officers elected were:—Patron. Mr. .T. Donald; president, Mr. S. A. Cleal; vicepresidents. Dr. Buckley Turkington, and Messrs. W. E. Brown, A. IT. Buckley, J. S. Calllnan, O. T. Mcr.eod, T. W. Mayson, and 11. O. Totman; club captain, Mr. Don. Wright; lady club captain, Mrs. Bedwood ; hon. secretary, Mr. J. Tlnnock; hon. treasurer, Mr. A. D. Blanks; hon. auditor, Mr. B. B. Herbert; hon. solicitor, Mr. S. A. Cleal; committee, Mosdauies Cleal, Washer, Wright, Miss Meiklejohn, and Messrs. Alexander, C. Calllnan, Williams, and Bobinson..
