BUSINESS HOUSES.
MID-WEEK COMPETITION. In the mid-week competition Hospital defeated Glendowie by two goals to nil after a fast and vigorous game. Howard Stoue was the pick of Glendowie, and G. Ross and J. Gayan (goal-keeper) were the best of the Hospital eleven. Farmers' Trading Company easily beat Automatic, Exchange by 5 goals to 1. Humphreys, Herbert and Riddolls excelled for Exchange, while Woods, J. Morrison and Bush forked hard for the winners. Seamen's United and Mount Eden United failed to score in their match at the Domain, and a draw was the result of a gruelling contest. B. Wolsley and D. Allen were best for the Seamen, and H. Tanner and Williams stood out for the Mount Eden United side. Abols, Ltd. were defeated by Kent's Bakeries by one goal to nil after a fairly good display of football. Mellor and Meek played well for Abels, and Gore and Smith for the winners. Fixtures for next Wednesday are:— Seainen v. Kent's, Blandford Park, 3.15, Mr. \j. .1. Check: Ml-. Eden v.
