WRESTLING.
WALKER DEFEATS OSWALD. (t>y Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. One of the best contests of the present wrestling season was seen in the Town Hall last night, when George Walker defeated "Hank" Oswald by a fall gained in the sixth round with a jack-knife hold and press. The fall was cleverly manoeuvred, Walker taking Oswald by surprise when the latter was bending down in an effort to escape from a body hug. Pushing Oswald forward, Walker grasped his leg, pulling it back and at the same time imprisoning the American s head with his knees. Finally, Walker fell on him for a press. Both men worked hard throughout, and in the final rounds Oswald strove to equalise with flying tackles and scissors holds. Walker, however, repulsed every attack.
