TINJARU MEETING. SUNNY MORN SCORES. STEEL ALL TWO DIVIDENDS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, Saturday. The Timaru Trotting Club's meeting was held to-day in showery; weather. The track was heavy. The totalisator handled £8703, against £9303 last year. After the Salisbury Handicap a protest was lodged by W. J. Doyle, driver of Prince Author, against M. B. Edwards, driver of Craganour, 011 the grounds of interference. The stewards dismissed the protest, but fined Edwards £5 for. crossing too soon. The match race between Harold Logan and Roi L'Or was won by HaTold Logan. The winner drew the inside. Two furlongs from home the pair were level. Harold Logan took the lead on the tend into tlie straight, and halfway down was over ji-length in front. Both finishsd under the whip. Harold Logan winning by three-quarters of a length. The mile took 2.10, and the full journey 2.42 1-5.
