COLLISION WITH POLE.
TELEGRAPH WIBES DOWN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, this day. A taxi driver, Cooper Brown, crashed into a telegraph pole at Gow'a corner this morning, when he swerved his ea f to avoid a cyclist. Most of the telegraph wires came down and others were loosened, including the main Gisborne line. Nobody was injured.
