KILGOUR'S CLAIM.
OXE OUNCE PER FOOT RETURN. DUXEDIN, this day.. Dr. E. Marsden, Secretary of (he Scientific and Industrial Research Department, with Mr. E. O. Maepherson, of the Geological Survey, and Messrs. Modrinsk.v and Baird. comprising the geophysics party, are operating in the vicinity of Bell and Kilgour's claim oil the Kawara'u, where, since gold was struck, the return has proved to be equal to an average of over one ounce per foot. The geophysics party is impressed with the prospects on the Cromwell Flat, and regards the find as something big. A company is being formed in Dunedin to Require Bell and Kllgour's property. j
