WAXED BOXES.
Hare you ever tried waxing small boxes? Sealing wax can be bought in any colour for 9d a stick, and a box of glitter wax containing live colours for "about the same price. A couple of sticks of wax and a box of glitter wax would cover quite a number of small tins or boxes. Small wooden boxes such us are bought with a half a dozen cigais (pocket editions) can be made into attractive cigarette boxes for your mother s
bridge tables, and match boxes can be used for pins. Break oil a few small pieces of sealing wax and put a small jar or bottle. Jlist cover with methylated spirit and leave corked up all night. It should then be about the consistency of thin cream. If not right at first, more wax or spirit can be added. Paint the boxes with this, and when dry mould small flowers, or hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs with glitter wax and press into position on the box. After a little practice you will become quite an expert.
