BROADSIDING.
WESTERN SPRINGS TO-NIGHT. At the Western Springs Speedway to-night a new style of attraction will be provided in half-mile sprints, which have proved elsewhere to be especially thrilling. E. Gregory will make an effort to lower F. Pearee's New Zealand record of 1.1(5 for the mile, and there will be a series of races for the gold helmet, at present held by E. Lans'ton. With the track in excellent order the riding is expected to be especially good.
