TAURANGA NOTES.

The Rt. Rev. H. W. Williams, Bishop of Waiapu, and Miss Ursula Williams | (Napier), the Rev. Nigel Williams (Batavia), Miss V. A. Monckton (Auckland), Mrs. T. W. Trigg a, Mrs. Lan McKinnon and Mr. F. C. Triggs (Napier), Mr. Falkland Gardiner ; Miss Mildred Gardiner and Miss Audrey Hickes (Hawke's Bay), and Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Smith, and family (Hamilton), are all the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Baker, "Baddow," Harington Street. Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Martin, of Sydney, are spending a holiday in New Zealand, and. are at present on a visit to Tauranga. Mrs. Donald and her son, of Wellington, are at Tauranga. Mrs. Bowman and Miss Bowman, of Napier, are on a visit to The Mount. Miss Campbell, of Feilding, is spending a holiday at Tauranga. Mrs. J. Quirk and the Misses Quirk, of Taihape, who have been at Tauranga, have left for Rotorua. Mrs. Martin and Miss Martin, of Wnihi, are on a visit to Mount Maunganui. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, the Misses Wilson (2), Mr. and Mrs. Kronfeld, Mrs. Leed, Master Leed, Misses Anderson (2), Mrs. Colhard, Miss Freeman and Miss Gardiner are among the Auckland visitors who are at Tauranga. Misses Oakdale (2), and Miss Wyart, of Hamilton, are spending a holiday at Mount MaUnganui. Mr. and Mrs. Hyde, of Katikati, are on a visit to Tauranga* Mr. and Mrs. Innes and Miss Innes, of Gisborne, are spending a short holiday at Tauranga. Mr. and Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Maunsell, Miss Maunsell, and Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins and three children, of Auckland, are on a holiday visit to Tauranga. Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm, of Wai*

toa, are on a visit to Moiint Maunganui. Mrs. Robertson, of Wanganui, is another recent visitor to The Mount. Mr. and Mrs. Barton and Mrs. Richards, of Auckland) are spending a holiday at Tauvanga. Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Stevens, of Takapau, Hawke's Bay, are spending a, holiday in Tauranga, and are the quests of Mr .and Mrs. B. C. Bobbins. Sir, and Mrs. Mackintosh Cox arid Mr. arid Mrs. Bennett, of Wellington, are on a visit to Tauranga. Mrs. J. Lusk, of Opuriake, is spending a holiday with friends ill Tauranga.

A bridge evening was given by Mrs. Denis Ivory for Miss Christine Baker, whose marriage to the Rev. Gardiner will shortly take place. The hostess received her guests in a frock of pink voile, and the guest of hbnoiir wore a dainty frock of rose georgette. During the evening Miss Baker was presented with a crystal violet bowl. Those present were: Mesdames A. McShane, G. May field, J. Laurerison, Laughlan (Wellington) j fi. Blirrell (Auckland), Misses Kathleen Baker, Lyn Snodgrass, P. Mountfort, R. Dames.
